Making Waves Hurumanu

In our Making Waves Hurumanu for maths we have been focusing on Geometry and Algebra. We have done lots of different things around geometry and algebra some have been fun and some have been boring. This week we have been working on velocity and how references of maths and science cross. We went in groups of 2-4 and in my group was Me, Hope and Addyson. We used a paper plane and sphero edu recording the data on distance, speed and time. Our paper plane throwing was really bad but our final formula was good and our sphero edu went really well also the formula was good too.

Here's our presentation:

Pita Pockets - Home Economics

Last Wednesday for Home Economics we made pita pockets.

Ingredients:

  • Ham
  • Lettuce
  • Cheese
  • Carrot
  • Red Onion
  • Mayonnaise
  • Pita Pockets
First we sliced the ham, shredded the lettuce, grated the cheese, gated the carrot and sliced the red onion into cubes. Next we got our pita pockets cutting them open to start filling. After that we started filling the pita pockets with the ingredients. I filled my pita pocket with ham, lettuce, cheese, carrot and red onion. A couple bites in, it was very dry and I just didn't like it but next time I might put some kind of sauce or dressing in.
