Test a simple sugar - Science

Test a
simple sugar

Today at science we did a experiment testing a simple sugar and it was very enjoyably. We worked in pairs or in threes. I worked in a pair with Tehya and we took turns doing the experiment. We used 3 ingredients and put them into the large test tube. The 3 ingredients we used glucose powder, Benedict's solution and water. When all the ingredients were in the test tube you swirling it over blue flame not red orange flames. The colour it started off with was blue then changed to green then turned to orange. When it turned orange you stop swirling it over the blue flame or if you don't it will boiling over.

Here are some photo we took well doing the experiment

Equipment in Science

Today my class had science and we had to name the picture then find the correct sentences to match. I really enjoyed it but some picture a didn't recognised. I was really glad that I finished it. When I finished I ended up recognising the picture which was really good. Personally it went well. 😀

Science - Making a paper clip float

Making a paper clip float

Floating paper clip                                                                                    Sunken paper clip

Today my class and I did a science experiment called making a paper clip float. The experiment for me was a huge success because mine and my partners worked. It floated like it was a meant too so I was absolutely happy and over the top. 😁
We needed
Clean dry paper clip
Tissue paper
A beaker with water
Pencil

What to do
  1. Filled a beaker of water.
  2. Try to make the paper clip float.
  3. Tear a piece of tissue paper about half the size of a CARR card.
  4. GENTLY drop the tissue flat onto the surface of the water.
  5. GENTLY place a dry paper clip flat onto the tissue (try not to touch the water or the tissue).
  6. Use the eraser end of the pencil to carefully poke the tissue (not the paper clip) until the tissue sinks. With some luck, the tissue will sink and leave the paper clip floating.!

Cyber-smart

I read about Making learning visible.
Research:Take the time to google your questions about blogging and blog commenting.
Blog - You need to share your questions, answers and where you received the answer from on your blog.

My question:When were blogs invented?
Answer:Blogs were invented in 1994.The Early Years. It's generally recognized that the first blog was Links.Net,created by Justin Hall, while he was a Swarthmore College student in 1994. Of course, at that time they weren't called blogs, and he just referred to it as his personal homepage. It wasn't until 1997 that the term “weblog” was coined.
