In Science this term 7/8Al and 7/8Wh are working together on home chemistry. I worked on this activities individually and made my table individually as well.
Here's my table:
Here's another table on the chemicals.
This table is mixing two ingredient from the ten chemicals together and seeing what's the end product is.
Name | Chemicals | Image | Solid,Liquid or Gas |
Dishwashing Detergent | Sodium Chloride | Liquid
Lemon | Citric Acid | Liquid
Salt | Sodium Chloride | Solid
Vinegar | Sodium Lauroyl | Gas
Sugar | Carbohydrates | Solid
Air Freshener | Phthalates | Gas
Onion | Amino Acid | Gas | |
Lemonade | Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen | Liquid
Bleach | Sodium hypochlorite. | Gas
Baking Soda | Sodium bicarbonate | Solid |
Here's another table on the chemicals.
This table is mixing two ingredient from the ten chemicals together and seeing what's the end product is.
Compounds | Method | Observation of reaction |
| Half cup of Bleach and half cup of Vinegar. | Makes a Toxic Chlorine gas that is poisonous. |
| 1 whole lemon cut in half with half cup of air freshener. | Makes a lemon scented air freshener. |
| 1 tablespoon of baking soda with a half cup of dishing washing detergent | I can’t find a reaction to this experiment so here’s my hypothesis. I think that adding the 2 ingredients together, will make it bubble up and drool over the bottle. |
| Half cup of lemonade and 1 teaspoon of salt | Makes the salt dissolve and the lemonade turns into some kind of extent. But there’s no chemical reaction to this experiment. |
| 1 whole onion cut in half, trying to squeeze some juice out of both halves and 1 teaspoon of sugar. | I can’t find a reaction to this experiment so here’s my hypothesis. I think that nothing will happen doing this experiment. |
